you have hatched...

Phelim is fourteen years old. He's trotting through the streets near the estate where he lives, out of breath, like he's just been sprinting. He's looking for someone, anyone, but no-one is around.
Someone calls out from a stairwell above: "Jack!" - but that's not Phelim's name, so he moves on.
Someone calls out again, this time from the roof: "Hey, Jack!" Phelim looks up and replies that he's not Jack, he's Phelim. He asks if the man would mind giving him a hand: there's a big black dog in his flat, no idea how it got in, and he can't get it out.
The man above leaps from roof stairwell to window to wall to stairwell to railing, and perches. He is Sweeney, he says, and he's pleased to meet Jack.
Phelim thinks the man must be mad. He apologises, but he's not sure what for, and moves on.
Sweeney follows, never touching the ground, but leaping and bounding along the estate, using cars, using trees where there are a few, and playground sets. All the time, he calls to 'Jack'.
Then Sweeney tells 'Jack' that the Worm is waking. The Worm is waking and Jack must save them. Jack is the one to kill the Worm and save them. He has a destiny.
Phelim stops. He hears a male voice in his head echoing those words, then he hears his sister's voice in his head: "Phelim Green, you'll never be anything!"
Sweeney repeats the destiny, and calls the boy Jack O'Green. Now Phelim is a bit freaked out, and he runs out of the estate towards the local shops. Sweeney doesn't follow. He can't: nowhere to leap to.
Sweeney calls out after Phelim that Jack O'Green needs a Maiden, a Fool and a Horse... and he will be the Fool, if Jack will wait. If Jack will wait for him. Sweeney cannot come down, see. He never comes down. Never comes down.
