When Gerda and Kay's mother dies, Gerda knows that she must care for her sister. But Kay sees a woman dancing in the snow outside: is it their mother? Gerda wakes to find her sister gone, and begins a magical journey of self-discovery as the seasons pass and winter returns.
This brand new musical was presented by the Youth Company Act Two at Guildford's Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in December 2009, and is now in further development with the assistance of musical theatre students at the Royal Academy of Music.
